I get asked about partner codes constantly. Usually the same question: do you get discounted fees or free trading?
No. AvaTrade charges zero commission on forex. You pay the spread. That's the cost. A partner code doesn't change that.
Code 128979 unlocks the deposit bonus. Additional trading capital depending on your deposit. Simple as that.
How much bonus do you receive?
Put in $1,000, receive $200 bonus.
Deposit $2,000 for $400 bonus.
$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.
Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. Not many traders reach that level.
UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Scales up to £11,200 maximum.

The field is hidden
When you're signing up. Below the phone field, avatrade partner code look for small text that says "Have a Partner Code?" with an arrow next to it. Click it. A field drops down. Type **128979**.
Easy to miss since it's collapsed by default.
If you see an error, it's fine. Finish signing up. Reach out to your account manager first. Ask them to add code 128979. They do this manually all the time.
There's a catch with the bonus
You need to trade a certain volume.
About 10,000 units for every dollar of bonus. You'd need to trade 2,000,000 units to unlock a $200 bonus. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Regular trading gets you there sooner than you'd expect.
The deposit belongs to you. Access it whenever you need. Only the bonus has the restriction.
One thing worth knowing: while the bonus is locked, it still counts toward your margin. Allows for slightly larger trades. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
